Entry 25 - August 31st
Really has just not been as much to play as we approach the end of the season, and this is VERY normal. The more iterations we get, the more data the rest of our competitors get and the sharper the market becomes. SQ's main advantage will always be arriving to the proper conclusion faster than everyone else, but that does not mean that every else wont eventually arrive there too. That is where we are at, and it will likely happen in every league, just the WNBA is much smaller so there was just already so little to work with.
I will do my best to put out a play that is expected to profit via our data, but I don't just put out plays for the sake of content when there's no meat on the bone.
Lucky for us, that is not the case today.
We did lose our 8/28 POTD on Collier ❌ but it has continued to be a great month. Let's finish it off strong.

It has been a while, folks, and that is not my fault, I swear. There just haven't been many concrete edges as the season progresses and the market sharpens. However, today we have enough meat on the bone to attack not only a POTD but a bonus play. I am always looking for about a three point edge when it comes to these, otherwise you're playing with fire.

Woof - I suppose the point of this blog was, at some level, for me to have the ability to exactly what I am about to do: Decry the results of the most recent POTD as unlucky.
But wait, before just categorizing this as a bettor complaining about a result he doesn't like, let's at least be real here.
On Sunday, Ogwumike was expected to score 23 points and instead we got hooked on our O16.5. It really doesn't get more annoying than that, but yet the line is still at that point and everything about SQ says we go right back to the well and try again. So we will.

As we have discussed, small slates do not get posts to the blog. We did have one bet last night for the POTD [Collier U22.5 ✅] but it was only launched into discord because of time crunch (I didn't know the game was starting so early, my bad). Nonetheless, we did get our Under home and there was a good 30 min to get the play in.
Decently acceptable, though I will attempt to do better, hence writing this prior to 9am today.
Today is another big day of action, but unlike Friday, we actually have handful of auxiliary plays and some more Unders.

There were no available plays yesterday, 6/28, and as such there was no update here. There may some days be a POTD, but not enough for a blog update, if that is the case I will still post that in the blog - but figure if you don't get an email or members discord ping, or see me tweet about the pick... there's not enough meat on the bone or no games.
Today neither is the case, the only issue is I did miss the first game - probably would have taken Sabrina Over again with how cold she's been combined with the usage, and at the time o writing, she's scoreless through 15 minutes while her team trails by 20. Maybe a good time for a live bet? No. But -- the next BetCast is July 3rd, plus watch out for the new basketball talk show this Tuesday night at 9:15pm!

Well hopefully you got out of the Howard play in some way, any Over bet would have worked similarly to the cash out feature as she did still go over the 12.5s (albeit by the hook) that were served after the injury news.
Technically, to be proper, we will record this as a 1-1 on the record to properly get the -.1u into the record - these things matter - and its still much better than the loss would have been. You might have not even made the play, as it happened quickly after publication, but nonetheless this is my personal log so I'm documenting my results.
I think that's fair.
POTD hit again (LFG), 3-0 start in this season after last years 35-30 total for our published 38-30 WNBA record, in case you were wondering how that works... there's no reason to reset those numbers each season because the most impressive part is how long we've been going... but we should still evaluate each season separately
No further ado, here's the bonus plays for today - two Overs on the menu along with another for the POTD, of course the day after I said I expect many Unders this season, but I think they line up well and we're getting some nice value on players who should get shots up. The concern is that Stewart and Sabrina may struggle to both go over, but the data says theres a real chance they could just be cold or underrated, and thus are worth backing.

Another good one! POTD gets home pretty easily with Young scoring 20 on 15 SQ points (a little lucky) and then Burton and Sabrina split - both went under. Sab was double ice cold, though, I think she hit something like one of 11 shots if I am not mistaken - I was checking scores first thing in the morning.
Burton expected to score 9, Ionescu 18. Feels like 3-0 just barely eluded us but thats probably, in reality, the second best feeling to actually attaining the sweep, even though it might seem frustrating at first. These plays were as good as I thought they were and I'd make them again happily.
The Pick of the Day will have always been posted prior to this release, and if you aren't yet in the discord, you should join - as that's the place we send that pick first, to members like you, earlier than everyone else prior to releasing it for free. It's not a long grace period but it is enough, usually 20-30 minutes, to get a bet down before any possible movement.
